Plants connected to polygragh machine

   Awhile back I recall watching a documentary which had an excerpt about 
a professional polygraph technician conducting experiments on plants to 
see if they were capable of sensing pain.  This was done by hooking them 
up to a polygraph machine.  The conclusion was that they were able to 
sense as well as anticipate pain.  Does anyone know the name of the 
person and his title, who did this experiment and did he write any 
information about it?  Please reply if you have any information.
