If you can get yourself to a good university library, you can find a review
article covering research up to 1986 or so in the following:

Halstead, Thora W. and F. Ronald Dutcher (1987) Annual Review of Plant 
Physiology. "Plants in Space" pp317-345

This annual series is now call Annual Review of Plant Physiology and
Plant Molecular Biology but all should be shelved in the same place.
