Bear grass...around the Pacific Northwest of the USA is a Liliaceae...
not actually a grass although it has flat sharp grass-like leaves
that are munched by deer, elk, and occasionally bear.....foliage
leaves used for ornamental weaving...also a human food source...
could this be the pllant you are looking at? Large pyramidal white
inflorescence (flower arrangent).
