The answer may be Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA).  This is a plant growth
regulation hormone, produced synthetically, which does different things at
different concentrations.  You may have to call around to find some -
check with your local nursery or Ag. Extension Service.  Full instructions
appear on the gallon bottle I purchased from a nursery supply store in
Fremont, CA a number of years ago.  Good luck!
