Soybean soil pH

After the fall harvest of 1995, I saw increased yield in soybeans across
various soil types and soybean varieties that had a soil pH level near 7.0.
I was wondering what the optimal pH level for maximum yields is for soybeans.
Do producers need to try to increase soil pH levels from 6.5 to 7.0 to get
increased yields?

Thanks for your help,

Andy Riggins
