Infrared reflection from plants

I am looking for information on infrared radiation reflected from plants for my research on infrared
photography. My understanding is that chlorophyll is not the agent of radiation, as it is transparent to the
infrared. What ,then, causes such a high degree of reflection of infrared light? I am a photographer, not a
botonist, but am willing to do what is necessary to understand this.

Thanks for any and all help.
