Well, plants are susceptible to very low levels of pollutants like
sulphur dioxide and various oxides of nitrogen.  Combustion of just
about anything will produce these including cigarettes.  However, the
fact that nicotine smoke is used to fumigate horticultural greenhouses
suggests that cigarette smoke would have no long-term efect on plants
generally.  There is always the risk of TMV infection though ...
