You might want to pickup a copy of "The Flora of the Wasatch Front" by Lois 
Arnnow and Ann Wycoff. It's published by the University of Utah Press, U.of U.
Salt Lake City, Utah 84112. It will include a bunch of alkaline and salt loving 
plants unique to the Eastern Great Basin as well as unique endemice species of 
loco weeds and a couple of optuntias that grow above the snowline.
