I suspect your plant's problem is that you are giving it too
much water. In the winter, plants stop growing, or slow way down.
with the slower metabolism, they can't transpire the water out
of the soil as fast as they can when they're growing, so the soil
gets waterlogged. Try letting the soil pretty much dry out be-
tween waterings, and yes, give it as much light as you can. Over-
watering in the winter is one of the most common mistakes made
with houseplants.
