Looking for info about vines

I want to select a vine to grow indoors on a trellis in a large window.  
I'm looking for a reference book or online database that  tells which 
vines are evergreens.  Also are there any deciduous vines that routinely 
grow new leaves along the length of the vine to replace ones that fall 
off, and if such a trait exists, is there a technical name for it?  If 
such behavior is not routine, is there an artificial way to provoke it?
