Postdoctoral and permanent positions are available in the area of crop
transformation at Ceregen, a business unit of Monsanto Company (formerly
New Agricultural Products Division). This company is located in St. Louis,
Missouri. The persons hired for these positions will be responsible for
developing improved transformation technology for corn, soybean or cotton.
Successful candidates will work with a team of researchers towards the
production of transgenic plants, but will also have the opportunity to work
cross-disciplinary teams responsible for the development of transgenic
products. A recent Ph.D. degree in an appropriate plant science
(e.g., genetics, agronomy, physiology, or biochemistry) is required.
Experience in plant tissue culture (preferably with important agricultural
crops) and plant transformation is highly desirable. Send resume,
