If you like small hunting expeditions, fill a spray bottle with 20-25%
ammonia water solution and go looking for them as it is getting dark.
Spot them with a flashlight and hit them with a couple squirts of the
ammonia water. It's much more effective than sprinkling salt on them
and it doesn't hurt the plants. You need to take a more active role
than with some of the other suggestions, but that has its rewards too.
