geraniums..how to store in winter

You had better sit down for this one. To store geraniums over the winter follow these steps:
1) Remove the plant from the container
2) Gently shake the soil/media from the root area
3) Put the bare root plant upside down in a brown paper bag
4) Hang up in your garage, basement, crawl space, etc.(unheated)
5) In the spring plant what looks like a dead plant
6) Enjoy another seasons bloom
It might be a good idea to dust with a fungicide before "bagging" the plants as sometimes
funky fingi will grow in the bag
