The Jacob Blaustein Graduate Program for Desert Research
Graduate Research Opportunity at the
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel
Two year fellowships are available, to support M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis
research at the Albert Katz Center for Desert Agrobiology of the Jacob
Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, situated at the Sede Boker
Campus (Negev Desert) of Ben-Gurion University.
Disciplines represented at the Center include: micropropagation;
molecular and cellular biology; soil and water relations; runoff
farming; desert plant biotechnology; biostress.
Candidates must be registered for post-graduate studies at an accredited
institute of higher education anywhere in the world. Accreditation of
thesis and award of degree, will be by the home institute, by prior
arrangement.
Fellowships will be sufficient to cover board and lodging at the Sede
Boker Campus.
Deadline for applications - February 29, 1996. Announcements of awards
will be sent by March 15, 1996. Students should plan to arrive no later
than August 1, 1996.
