Henderson A., Galeano G. & Bernal R. 1995. A Field Guide to the Palms
of the Americas

covers all N, Central and S American palms, gives good simple keys, has
distribution maps, plates and descriptions as well as country lists.
A brilliant book. Trouble is, it'll set you back $75...
