Wilting azalea branches

This year I had the worst case of wilting azalea branches. I read
somewhere the cause is tip borer. I cut all affected branches and gave
all azaleas a thorough treatment of diazanon with surfectant. To my
dismay I still have occasional branches wilt for no apparent reason. I
continue to cut the wilted ones off. Anyone has ideas or info on this
