also, a tip for all you bare-assed greenhorns,
to keep your perlite/vermiculite mix. from floating,
leave your reservoir empty and top feed your tray with
stock nutrient solution from a watering can
by the time the res. is full, the mix will be wet enough
so as not to float too much, a layer of waxed paper on top can
also make a great barrier to keep germinating seeds moist,
you might also try burying a waterproof soil heating cable
in the mix to speed germination, works great
cuttings placed directly in the tray and sprayed with a mild
nutrient solution or cloning wax (anti-transpirant) will take
very quickly
