question on plant growth

It seriously depends on what growth medium they are grown in, what kind of
conditions (time of year, part of the world, in a greenhouse, in
environmental chambers, etc...).  What you need to look up are studies at
your local college library (crop science, or botany studies would be
best).  Most college libraries also have CD-Rom databases on all the
research in most of these journals.  One of the good ones is called
"Agricola".  The problem is that while you can get most college library's
on the internet, and their catalog systems, you cannot usually get access
to CD-Rom type technology.  It's simply not hooked up yet.  Good luck.
