The easiest indoor plant to grow may be the spider plant (Chlorophytum
comosum).  You might also try an umbrella plant (Cyperus alternifolius),
which
is a sedge and related to papyrus.  Other low light possibilities include
the dragon trees (Dracaenas), snake plants (Sanseveria), and aspidistra
(cast iron plant).  
Contrary to what someone else advised, I would not recommend Hedera (ivy).
 It
is one of the most difficult plants to grow indoors.
