Chelidonium majus (Celandine)

I have Celandine and would like to collect some
seed to send to a friend. It seems though that
the seeds have already sprouted in the pod. All
are like this wether mature or not, tiny seed with
a very small root tip poking out. 

Is this common for this plant and will the seeds
last while the Post Office has them or must they 
be planted immediately?
