What kind of light plants prefers ?

Hello ,
I wish to cultivate tropical fruit trees inside,
but I know they need a lot of light .
A friend of mine told me that blacklight neon tubes
provides a better light  quality than aquarels ( these for aquariums) or
others ,
with the same consumption ...

What do you think about it ?
