Molecular Geneticist
A three year post-doctoral position funded by the BBSRC is available in
the laboratory of Dr. Claire Grierson, IACR-Long Ashton, Bristol, UK.
The project, "Molecular Analysis of TIP2: a gene that controls cell shape
in root hairs and pollen tubes of Arabidopsis", is a collaboration with
Dr. Keith Edwards, who is also in the Developmental Biology
and Molecular Genetics group at IACR-Long Ashton.
Applicants should have, or expect to have, a PhD in molecular biology/
molecular genetics and enthusiasm for the use of new methods to
rapidly isolate genes identified by mutation and to investigate gene
function.
