Keeping Easter Lilies?

You can not force the lilies to maintain their bloom for extended
periods.  These are bulb plants just the daffs and tulips in your
garden.  What you can do is keep watering and feeding after the blooms
fade for about 6-8 weeks.  Then start holding back on the water and let
the plant "go to sleep".  Now plant the bulb in your garden and you
should have blooming lilies in June, depending on your area of the
country.  Or you can go to your local grower next spring and have lilies
blooming at Easter (which is a lot easier).
