I am a Masters student working on biocontrol of western hemlock dwarf
mistletoe using fungi. My latest experiment involved trying to keep the
mistletoe alive on the host branch long enough to challenge it with
fungi. Unfortunately, the mistletoe died after a week. The base of the
host branch was in Hoagland's solution. Does anyone have any
suggestions on how to keep the mistletoe alive for a few weeks?
Responses can be sent to the newsgroup or to sdeeks at pfc.forestry.ca
