You could try the Golf Course Wildlife Trust. About three years ago, their 
chairman of trustees was Michael Harvey, at 1 Hinde Street, London W1M 5RH 
(tel: 0171-495 8095). They will not be completely unbiased, of course, but 
should be able to lead you on to other sources.
