Fuchsia magellanica seed Help

Wanted: seed of Fuchsia magellanica or any of its subsp, from a site in or
near it's natural range in southern Argentina and Chile. Can anyone advise
of a possible supplier? (Apologies for not posting in Spanish)

There are a few aspects of similarity in the climate moderators of Nova
Scotia, Canada and the far south of South America that lead me to believe
(or hope?) that some of the deserving species of that region could make a
go of the NS climate. I have some F. magellanica which has been
overwintering (but dying back to the roots each year, which was sort-of
expected) successfully even through some benchmark horrid winters, but it
hasn't bloomed for me. I suspect the seed was of British origin, and
depending on how many generations removed from the native range the plants
were might have lost some of their native cold tolerance, which is why I
want to go back to native stock.

Thanks for any help;

Leo Smit
