Postdoc position

An EC-funded POSTDOCTORAL POSITION (BIOTECH PROGRAMME) is available from 
1 September, 1997, to study the molecular mechanisms underlying 
recognition of bacterial/fungal pathogens in plants. Work will focus on 
isolating plant genes whose products interact with pathogen-derived 
elicitors (see Cell 78:449; Plant Cell 9:209). Candidates should have a 
strong background in molecular biology and/or biochemistry. Since the 
project will be a joint effort between the group of John Mansfield (Wye 
College, UK) and our lab the candidate should be willing to relocate if
