Light, excersize, hobbies, seeking the root of the depression, all are
good ways to combat depression.   But sometimes depression is a something
that is not a condition of the mind, but may be clinical and result from
lack of something in the diet, etc.  There are many herbs that do help
nervous conditions.  But rather than list them here, I would suggest
talking to a good herbalist or getting a decent book and reading about
them because some of them can be a bit dangerous if taken in large
