Research Associate
A Research Associate Position (BAT Ost IIa, gross salary DM 61000.- per
year or higher depending on qualification, age and marital status) is
available at the Institute of Plant Biochemistry from January 1, 1998,
for two years with possible extension. The research is focussed on the
molecular mechanisms underlying heavy metal tolerance in plants. One
Technical Assistent is associated with this position.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in plant molecular biology or
biochemistry and several years of postdoctoral experience in heavy metal
tolerance in plants or closely related areas. They are expected to
develop a largely externally funded research program in cooperation with
an existing project in this field.
