Maybe it´s the Bo- or Pepul-tree from southeast-Asia (Ficus religiosa),
wich is sacred to the Buddhists, because the believe that Buddha got his
illumination 528 BC. under such a tree.
By the way: my wife´s name is much easier to interpret (Iris).
