Hi, Can anyone tell us what "sporiophytes" are? Is this a worldwide terminology? We know that: 1) Its not the same as "sporophytes", the diploid spore-producing phase 2) It must be something (not the same) like "spermatophytes" = phanerogams = seed plants 3) Is it plants that produce spores (one cell) rather than sperms (multicell)?
