Hybrid seems to be a loosely used word. Interspecific hybrids ( i.e. mule)
tend to be infertile. Hybridisation between varieties will result usually in
fertile seed but it will look different to the plant from which you got the
seed. This is not to say that the genetic information has been lost. You can
use these seedling plants to rebreed the characteristics of the parent. This
is the big hole in the argument of "Don't buy hybrid seed, Man".
