lignin solubility in NaOH ?

We are a group of bioproces engineering students at the Wageningen
Agriculture University,

We are designing a bio-ethanol plant.
The substrate is corn-biomass.
In the pre-treatment before the fermentation we need to seperate the
cellulose, hemicellulose and the lignin.

We want to extract the lignin from the feed with NaOH,
Our problem: What is the solubility of lignin in NaOH (alkali) ??
