Kelly,
Nut (Nux) vomita, Noix vomique (French), Quacker or bachelor's buttons,
poison nut, dog buttons, vomit nut.
Designates dried, ripe seeds of Strychnos nux-vomica L, (Loganiacea) from
southern Asia, northern Australia, containing, among other things, a
relatively high level of strychnine.
