Plant Domestication

Hello
I presently writing an essay for my degree at Sussex Uni, on how and 
why plants domestication came about. Whilst looking for evidence to 
suggest that it occurred in different regions at different times. I 
would be grateful for any suggestions of journal/ periodical articles, 
thesis's, books etc.  That might be of use to me,
