Dwarf Cavendish Banana Plant with Minor Problems

     I am new to banana plants, having just
     picked up four "clearance" ones for 50 cents
     each. Some of the leaves have some black
     areas and I notice there are parts of some
     leaves missing, like something was eating it.
     Does anyone know what I should do besides more
     water and sun? What is the cause of the disappearing leaf?
