mushrooms in a houseplant.

Spores are everywhere, always. You cannot eradicate them. They will only
grow reproductive bodies (mushrooms) in the right conditions. So if you
don't want them in your houseplants, you must change the conditions that
allowed them to grow.

You could change the potting soil. I think the commercial soils are
sterilized. Dry out the soil in between waterings (constant moisture aids
their appearance); that is, if appropriate to the care of your plant. What
are you feeding your plants? Highly nitrogenous fertilizer, like manure, is
also an aid to their appearance.

But eradicate the spores - not possible.
