Bremuda Grass Species?

Sorry, the coffee hadn't quite kicked in yet when I wrote this!  I WAS meaning
BERmuda grass, and yes indeed it IS Cynodon dactylon (descriptions match
perfectly with what is growing in my yard!).  

I had been trying to ID a smut that inhabits the grass in our front yard. 
Knowing the species name of the host grass was the key to knowing the fungus
(Ustilago cynodontis).
