A postdoctoral position is available immediately to conduct molecular
mapping of nematode resistance in Lycopersicon peruvianum. The individual
will find DNA markers tightly linked to root-knot nematode resistance genes
and conduct physical mapping of the regions. Applicants should have earned
a Ph.D. in Genetics, Plant Biology or an equivalent field. Ability to work
independently in all aspects of a molecular mapping project is required.
Experience with different DNA marker systems such as RAPD, AFLP, SSR, etc.,
is highly desirable. Must have a good command of the English language.

The appointment is for two years, with the second year of funding dependent
on satisfactory progress.  Applicants should send a CV, statement of
