water consumption of trees ?

How much water (approximate values can trees consume per day ? Is there
any work about that and probably about correlations between this
consumption and global radiation (or temperature) ?
Any citation you could give me would be very welcome.

I would need data for the species (or at least for one of the genera):

Fagus sylvatica
Fraxinus excelsior
Corylus avellana
Salix caprea
