Post-Doctoral Studies in Plant Biology

University of Lausanne, Switzerland

A post-doctoral position in plant biology is available in the
laboratory of Yves Poirier at the Institute of Ecology-Plant Biology,
University of Lausanne.

The research project is aimed at characterizing a family of membrane
proteins, recently identified in Arabidopsis thaliana, which play an
important role in the transport of inorganic phosphate in plants
(PHO1 genes, Plant Physiol 97 : 1087-1093, 1991).

The project makes use of the tools of genetics, molecular and cell
biology as well as biochemistry. The candidate is expected to
interact with a group of 2-3 PhD students.

The beginning of this postdoctoral position is expected for the
period of January-May 2001.

Interested candidates should send their CV along with the names and
