Rhubarb

I am helping my wife with a school project.  She is doing a school
assignment on rhubarb.

She has looked but cannot find information about the root of the rhubarb
plant.  She wants to know if the root is fibrous or a taproot system.  Also,
whether it is a monocot or dicot class root.

Finally, what size is the root?

Any information you could provide us would be greatly appreciated.
