The Embrapa Instrumentation, São Carlos - SP, (Brazil) is one of 43 centres of research and development from Brazilian Agricultural Research Coporation (Embrapa) spread out in Brazil. The main focus of this R&D unit, with 33 researchers, is to development instrumentation technologies for agribusiness such as machinery, equipment, sensors, and process automation. Together with the others units, the main objective is to strengthen Embrapa's ability to respond to the demands from Brazilian agriculture while anticipating and facing the challenges of the future. The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), the largest and most important public institution of Brazilian agricultural research. The team consists of 2,444 researchers, 84% of whom have PhD or post-doctoral degrees from universities in Brazil and abroad.
