A postdoctoral research position is available to join an established group
investigating the molecular and genetic basis of ozone effects on plants.
Current studies include detailed studies of ozone-induced gene expression,
genetic analysis of differential ozone sensitivity in various Arabidopsis
ecotypes and the isolation and characterization of mutant Arabidopsis lines
that are altered in the ozone sensitivity.  The primary goal of these
studies is to identify and characterize specific plant genes that are
crucial components of ozone-induced responses in plants and to determine
their relationship to other stress evoked responses, such as pathogen

Demonstrated experience in molecular biology is required, with experience
in Arabidopsis genetics and positional cloning desired.  The position is
available starting February 1, 1997 and is funded through 10/31/99.  Salary
