Postdoctoral Researcher: Stress Signaling
A postdoctoral position is available in the Plant Science Institute at Iowa
State University beginning in September to join our research group studying
the genetics and molecular biology of how Arabidopsis protects itself from
environmental stress. The research will focus on the mechanisms by which
plants sense and respond to biotic and abiotic stresses in their
environments. The research will emphasize transcriptional activation of
defense genes and the roles of the TGA bZIP transcription factors and the
as-1 type cis elements. Research experience in molecular biology and/or
Arabidopsis genetics are desirable.
