Well, nearly... we are working in tight collaboration with Thure
Etzold on a SRS gateway to Gopher. The experimental setup works as
described below. Please note that we use the seq-data subset from
Entrez, but we don't use Entrez but SRS to do the query. Instead
of looking into Medline any other database linked in the SRS query network
can be asked for.

Please note that this service is currently strictly experimental and
therefore not necessarily as stable as desirable. Therefore it reads
'compost query' instead of 'compose query'.

The interesting feature of the system is that it also reports file
of sequence names in GCG type addressing; i.e. it will produce a
corresponding listing if sequence databases are used.

Regards
Reinhard
