Hydrophobic protein purification

I have problems purifying the fusion of a small,
hydrophobic, most likely hydrophobic protein to 
maltose-binding protein (MBP).
Fusion protein sticks to the walls of the plastic 
(eppendorf) tubes.
Does anybody know how to avoid this problem
and how to remove the protein from the tube walls 
without destruction of the protein structure?
