ATP used in peptide transport

My colleague U.S. Rao asked me to post this question. Does anyone have an
estimate of the molecules of ATP hydrolyzed during transport of a peptide
across the ER membrane? He works with the multidrug resistance transporter
which also transports peptides and he was curious about the
differences/similarities in the two systems.
