Tropix vs. ECL

I've used both kits.  The Tropix is more sensitive, but this can also lead to
much higher background, so it is significantly more of a pain to use.  Its
protocol is very detailed as to the washings, lengths, etc, and any attempt to
simplify matters results in huge amounts of background, while the Amersham kit
is open to improvisation.  But, if you need the highest sensitivity, the Tropix
is what you want.
