Most primary amine containing fluorophores can be readily conjugated to NHS esters of biotin. Proteins conjugated to both biotin and fluoresceine or rhodamine are commercially available from Sigma, Pierce and Molecular Probes. Conjugates of biotin and fluorophores are similarly available.
